Hey All!

Kenya is approaching much faster than I expected! Fortunately for you, I am starting my blog after the all night essay writing sessions. For those wondering, the title of my blog is what was said every Friday night by my lovely roommate as she brought in Margaritas to celebrate the completion of my two 9 page papers. I have her to thank for getting this far! :D Things didn't start picking up until this month, when I started my vaccinations...YIKES! Typoid side affects: almost passing out in the middle of your second math, science and writing lesson, and emergency powder-room runs. Luckily, my first graders didn't freak and I was totally fine...although I will say my moms ice cold wash rag trick was the only thing I could think about that day!

Today I went to the health center for my second round, H1N1 (just for you Aunt Laurie!) and the seasonal flu. Because I am the worlds biggest brainiac and forget to eat a FULL meal before going, I pass out in the doorway of the Health Center! Gotta love being the dope that makes a fool out of herself in front of all sick Hoosiers! Now, I cannot pick up anything heavier than a water bottle and I feel like absolute death! Can't wait to get Yellow Fever!

Tomorrow, I am showing my chitlins my Kenya photo slideshow and we are writing letters to kids in Haiti. Many of my kids have not been out of Brown County so it will be interesting! Hope all is well with everyone. Tata for now!

  3. Of COURSE I want some artifacts! Any kind of instrument would be super neat. Nothing too fancy, of course. Don't want to weigh you down.

  4. Hey Guido, glad to hear everything is going well for you there. We all miss you here. Kate and Charles Barkley were here yesterday. He had a great time playing with Emmitt and then with Payton. He definitly needs your obedience training, a little stubborn on his come command. I am told that St Joe H.S. is looking for a Special Ed teacher, don't know if they can work out the particulars but if you have a resume available I can get it to the Principal and explain the situation. He played for me when I coached there. Sorry asst. P.I mean. Love you and we'll try to get calling card and give you a call this week.
